Role-Playing or Role-Being: Identity & Mental Health
For some people role-playing is a chance for non-serious fun and delight, while for others what looks like role-playing is anything but. For many on diverse mental health journeys, these practices can become supportive tools: a depressed mind trying on confidence, a dissociative system choosing who fronts in a negotiated space, or an anxious heart finding calm in clear roles and protective structure.
## What we will explore:
- How roles and personas can help us thrive in kink and play contexts
- The differences between playing a part and revealing a piece of ourselves
- How to enter and exit headspaces with intention
- Strategies for when scenes drift sideways
- Approaches to aftercare, grounding, and connection so that these journeys are held with care
