Practice & Play - “OM”

Organized by G Gili Jala

## OM & PLAY
Practice & Play with vibration & resonance
you’re invited to start the new year with an experiment:
combining conscious practice and open play
08.01.2027 • 18:00 - 22:00 • Haus Lebenskunst (Berlin)
Part 1: PRACTICE
we will engage with the Om (AUM ॐ) mantra in theory and sounding (chanting).
om is one of the most common and basic sounds in mantra practice, held differently by every tradition that uses it - variying in meaning, interpretation and ways of practice. it is also believed that chanting / humming has a regulating effect on the nervous system.
in the first portion we will learn, share, and chant individually and together. there’s no need to have any experience with mantra or chants, or any specific spiritual affiliation.
Part 2: PLAY
Following the practice portion we’ll have an hour to get curious and playful in our own spontaneous expression - without following a script or attachment to outcome. this portion is unstructured and emergent and may include movement, contact, intimacy and sensual expression. the space is sex positive in the sense that if a desire or impulse for erotic expression arise, there’s no restriction in exploring it - with care and consent for yourself, one another, and the group body.
Who is it for?
you’re drawn to and curious about conscious practice, without necessarily subscribing to a specific belief or spiritual affiliation.
you’re willing to suspend disbelief and get playful with ancient magic
you feel at home in a sex-positive community space (the open play space may include expression of eros and sexuality. this will not be centered, guided towards or expected from anyone. however please do prepare to witness.)
